Frank O’Brien Papen dining room to close temporarily for renovations

The temporary closure is expected to last from Dec. 2 to Dec. 17, with meal services resuming on Dec. 18.

LAS CRUCES - The dining room at the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center will temporarily close from Dec. 2 to Dec. 17, 2024, as crews work to replace the flooring. Meal services at the center will resume on Dec. 18.

During the closure, seniors can enjoy lunch at alternate locations between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the following sites:

  • Sage Café: 6121 Reynolds
  • Henry Benavidez Center: 1045 McClure
  • Eastside Center: 310 N. Tornillo
  • Munson Senior Center: 975 S. Mesquite St.

Residents who rely on Dial-A-Ride transportation can contact the city for assistance in scheduling rides to one of the alternate dining locations. Call 575-528-3000 and request to speak with a case manager for support.
