🩺 Ben Archer reversed course — after we broke the story
We reported that Ben Archer Health Center was requiring proof of citizenship to access care. Within 24 hours, the clinic system reversed course and notified partners — including Las Cruces Public Schools.
A state investigation followed, and the New Mexico Attorney General issued a formal directive.
🍎 Special education stipends vanished — and teachers were left in the dark
Hundreds of special education teachers had expected $5,000 stipends. Our reporting revealed why the money disappeared — and who knew it was coming.
