Police investigate fatal shooting in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces police are investigating a shooting that left a 36-year-old man dead Wednesday evening.

Officers and firefighters responded around 8 p.m. Feb. 26, 2025, to a report of a gunshot victim on the 2100 block of Lynch Drive. First responders found Justin Griffin, 36, unresponsive in the roadway.

Griffin had at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are pursuing multiple leads. Anyone with information is asked to call Las Cruces police at 575-526-0795.
