LAS CRUCES - A teenager is in critical condition after being shot Monday evening near Frenger Park, according to Las Cruces police.
The shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. on Dec. 30 on the 1800 block of South Espina Street, close to the park. The teenage male was initially taken to a Las Cruces hospital before being transferred to an El Paso hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition as of Tuesday.
No arrests have been made, and police have not released details about the shooter, circumstances or potential motives.
