LAS CRUCES - Thomas Branigan Memorial Library will host a family-friendly movie marathon on Saturday, Dec. 7, featuring three animated films that explore themes of family and friendship.
The event, part of the library's First Saturday Movie Marathon series, kicks off at 11 a.m. in the Kiva Room at the library, located at 200 E. Picacho Ave. The venue is accessible via Roadrunner Transit Route 1.
The lineup includes:
11 a.m.: A 2002 animated film about an alien discovering the meaning of family in Hawaii (85 minutes).
12:30 p.m.: A 2019 movie following a group of friends on a mission to reunite a yeti with its family (97 minutes).
2:30 p.m.: A 2022 adventure featuring a family of explorers (102 minutes).
All three films are rated PG and admission is free. Attendees are welcome to bring light snacks.
The marathon is part of an ongoing series hosted by Las Cruces Public Libraries. Future themes include the first installments of a popular spy franchise, iconic dancing romances and a quartet of 1980s classics.
